The Convent de Sant Andreu, on 3Cat

The recovery project of the Convent de Sant Andreu, in Sant Guim de Freixenet, has been featured by 3CatInfo in a report dedicated to the future of this historic complex.

The piece explains how this former Jesuit convent, located in the heart of La Segarra and next to a church and the ruins of a castle, will gradually be transformed into a unique space for film shoots, events, culture and rural accommodation. The building was acquired by Shoot Estudios in 2022 with the aim of recovering its heritage value and turning it into a rural setting with a personality of its own.

Work has currently begun on the adjoining church, which has been granted by the Bishopric of Solsona for 50 years in exchange for its rehabilitation. The intervention is key to halting the deterioration of the roof, the vault and the building’s structure.

As reported by 3CatInfo, this is a long and complex journey, but also an opportunity to bring life back to a unique space and help highlight the value of Sant Guim de Freixenet and the La Segarra region.

We are very excited to see how this project is beginning to attract interest and how, step by step, the Convent de Sant Andreu is once again looking towards the future.
